ChEM...
...or Chrysler ECM Modifier, is a software package written by Geoff Allan. This system does a lot, and many previously difficult modification tasks are simplified immensely.

The output from ChEM is a binary image file, which you must burn to a ROM and install in the ECM. This is simple to do if you get the ROM socketed in your ECM.
ChEM also works with an optional Serial Interface to perform real-time data logging of critical sensor inputs. You can monitor RPMs, Speed, Throttle Position, MAP sensor, Coolant Temp, Charge Temp, and O2 sensor. Some calibrations can also have other parameters monitored, such as cylinder retard and detonation sensed. Note: AT THIS TIME, only the 87 computers are datalogging properly. This is temporary, work is proceeding on other model years.

Further modifications of the ECM are possible that allow using a Flash ROM, so calibrations can be changed in a few seconds with a laptop. And coming soon is the FRAM or BB-SRAM ECM that allows real-time instant changes to operating tables in a running engine.
ChEM is free, but a donation to the development is requested. There is no requirement to pay anything for the software, but hardware modifications will be available at reasonable rates. Those wishing to donate for development with PayPal can use this email address: zapdude@hotmail.com
